Astoran Empire

The Astoran Empire covers most of the northern part of Home. It once spanned the entirety of Home, but has since lost much of its former territory to Solithia and Dara. It is ruled by a monarchy, descendants of the empire's founder, Astora.

History

In 15 B.E., Astora, the newly crowned king of Arnor, began a military campaign to conquer nearby regions. By 1 A.E., he had conquered so much of Home that he declared himself Emperor of the Astoran Empire, and founded its new capital, the City of Iron. In 13 A.E., after destroying the city of Soma, he gains control over the entirety of Home. After this, he seals away the Eternal Sword, declaring his descendants are the only ones capable of unsealing and wielding it.

In 54 A.E. Arnor is destroyed, but the empire otherwise remains in control of Home until 470 A.E., when Dara successfully secedes. In 512 A.E., Nova declares independence, eventually growing into the country of Solithia. In the following centuries, the empire and Solithia clash numerous times, causing Solithia to expand. In 1857 A.E. (present day), they are once again at war.

Government

The Astoran royal family has ruled the empire since its founding. The current rulers are King Albert and Queen Lena. Their daughter, Princess Aelinora ven Astora, is heir to the throne.
