Dara

Dara is a country located in southeastern Home. Much of the country is covered by wilderness. Unlike the majority of Home, Dara is populated mainly by non-human races, with elves being the majority.

Major Locations

• Equi: The capital city, built around a massive tree.
• Marshport: Port city located on the Sorrowful Sea, and the country's main point of contact and trade with the rest of Home.

History

In 468 A.E. Dara declared independence from the Astoran Empire, starting a war. In 470 A.E. the empire signed a peace treaty officially recognizing the country.

Generally, Dara keeps out of conflicts and world events as much as possible. Not much is known of its position or actions within the current campaign.

Government

Dara is ruled by a council, which is composed of a mix of nobility and elected officials. While they technically govern the entire country, in practice they rarely interfere beyond Equi and Marshport. The remainder of the country is composed of scattered, isolated groups and societies, each with their own system of leadership.
