Haudi Torrac

Haudi is the twin and warlock patron of Hei Torrac.

Appearance & Personality

Although Haudi currently has no physical form, she is Hei’s twin – a black halfling with short white hair, brown eyes, large round glasses, and a mole under her right eye. Present-day Haudi is often depicted in art with red eyes, devil horns, a devil tail, and sharp canines. When communicating with the party, he will either possess one of his warlocks, or he will use Echo as a host body. Those possessed by Haudi will gain red, glowing eyes, and Echo’s bunny ears burst into flames.

Haudi’s personality is brash and cunning, leaving them to be the brains behind his and Hei’s childhood schemes. Because of this, she was able to quickly adapt to her life after death and gain many stupid college student followers.

Story

Backstory

At the age of 16, Haudi was kidnapped by Mercuria Psyne and used for magical experimentation with the power source Hellfyre. This gave her minor magical abilities and fiendish physical features, but eventually destroyed her memories. They reportedly “combusted” after an uncontrollable surge of power, leaving their memories locked in a bird-shaped necklace and their soul stuck in the Material Plane.

In search of a new body, Haudi became the warlock patron of many struggling students of Tower Academy. He granted them spells, did their homework, and helped them cheat on tests in exchange for power and temporary use of their bodies. Her main henchmen were a study group consisting of Cade, Ebony, Cora, and Bianca.

Tower Arc

When the party first entered Tower, Haudi immediately took notice of Hei through the eyes of Ebony. Though they didn’t understand why, they felt that he would be her perfect vessel. She was able to use Cade to lure Hei into a trap and make a deadly bet where the winner would keep Hei’s body and the loser would live in Echo forever. Haudi briefly possessed Echo for the battle, causing its ears to erupt in flame and a red glow to appear where its eyes would be. Despite Hei’s confusing yelling about being family during the fight, Haudi successfully copied all of his attack patterns to use against him and nearly won. However, at the last second, Hei screamed for her to remember him and threw the bird-shaped pendant at Echo. The memories within the necklace flowed back into Haudi, and the twins were finally reunited after 7 years.

After the fight, Hei promised to find Haudi a new body, and Haudi became his warlock patron so they could never be separated again.

Other Appearances

Early in the campaign, Haudi was responsible for cleaning up after the party when they failed to rescue Oliver from Alexander’s warehouse. After Appel met Cade in Mistport and drunkenly told him about Oliver, Haudi had Cade steal his gun and rescue Oliver himself. She still did not have her memories at the time, but she instinctively wanted to save him from falling into Psyne’s hands like her.

Haudi also appeared in TOHD’s 4 year anniversary session along with their fujoshis where she made a warlock pact with Marey.

Trivia

• Haudi was the one to pick her and Hei’s last name when they were kids.
• “Hei’s twin” started as a joke when Rae accidentally spelled Hei as Heidi.
• Haudi's warlocks are jokingly referred to as "fujoshis" due to the party's confusion over their early attempts to get Hei alone with Cade.
