Garf Bunglestoff

Garf is a paladin in the Solithian army, and one of Appel’s old classmates.

Appearance & Personality

Garf is a very short dragonborn-orc. He has scaly green skin, a lizard-like tail, and short spiky hair. His weapon of choice is a nunchaku.

Garf has a great passion for combat. He enjoys saying or doing things just to see what will happen, and will happily laugh at another person’s expense. Though he can be unkind, Garf is more laid back than Bingus or Yobbo.

Garf has done well for himself as a Solithian paladin; he understands that serving in the military gives him the license and power to pick fights with others, a favorite pastime of his. In exchange for this privilege, he is proud to provide Solithia with his service.

Story

Backstory

A young Garf saw trainees sparring at the Academy one day. He walked inside the gates, and simply began wrestling with anyone he saw. After half an hour, a squadron of Paladins managed to subdue Garf, but not before he had managed to bloody several Paladins twice his age (and twice his size). For all his mischief, the headmaster of the Academy fined the Bunglestoff family for assault and trespass--and invited Garf to attend the school once he turned 16.

At Her Holiness’ Academy for the Immaculate and Faithful, Garf became friends with Bingus and Yobbo, and the three found great novelty in antagonizing Appel.

Appelton Arc

Garf received a field assignment in Appelton, where he reports to Yobbo. The pair are supposed to be responding to rumors that the Hammer Elf has been making trouble for Solithian soldiers in the area. Neither have caught the culprit, nor have they figured out that the perpetrator is really Yukiko impersonating Blitz, the original Hammer Elf.

Trivia

• After the players joked that Bingus resembles Groose, Iniyan created Garf to fill the Cawlin archetype.
• Garf’s least favorite part of rock candy is the wooden stick. He still eats it, though.
