Appearance & Personality
Anathema's appearance is unknown, although a journal in Arnor's castle mentioned her having "frightening" eyes.
Story
Anathema's existence was hinted at several times before discovering her tower in Arnor:
- She is likely the baby that was intended to be added to the unfinished portrait of Arthur Astora, his wife, and a child, which Blitz found in the secret passageway of Kingsglade's castle.
- The story The Girl in the Tower is based on her, although how much of it has been fictionalized is unknown.
- Veracity mentioned rumors that Merlin Astora had a secret child, who may have been banished to Arnor.
In Arnor, the party discovered a tower, which contained a magic circle designed to imprison celestials. At the top was a child's bedroom, in which they found a brooch with the crest of the Astoran Empire. They also discovered several crude drawings: two figures with swords, a knight on horseback, and a glowing figure above the tower. The last drawing was signed "ANATHEMA".
Trivia
- "Anathema" means "curse" or "ban", usually in the context of being denounced by religious authority. It is unknown whether this was actually her name, or had some other meaning to her.
- It has been theorized that she may have been one of the first Hearts of Solis.
